All of our beard oils are packaged in 1 oz. amber glass bottles to keep out harmful ultra-violet (UV) rays, which UV rays can cause oils to go bad. All oils sold by Tubb Starr are made fresh and marked with a “best by” date to ensure the product you receive lasts as long as possible.

Dan SA –
You guys gave me a free sample of this beard oil. I used it a little skeptical at first because I have been using diesel for awhile now. I want to write and tell you thanks for the sample because now I will be using this oil from now on. You guys nailed the scent smells just like sawdust although yes it is sweet but that is why my wife loves the smell too. I will be buying more from you guys. But do you have a beard wax? Also do you sell anywhere in san antonio where I can get easy?

Hi Dan!
First, thanks for trying our beard oil; we are very happy to hear that you liked our Platinum Label Conditioning Beard Oil and that the Copaiba Amber Balsam is a scent that both you and your wife enjoy.
Now, to answer your first question, we do have a Finishing Beard Balm that we recommend for longer beards. Our finishing balms have beeswax in the formula to help smooth hair into place but are still lightweight enough that you do not get a hardened look or feel to the beard. The balms have a stronger hold than our butters, which are more conditioning and nourishing, which helps to smooth the hair and add shine.
If you are looking for a stronger hold than the balm, we do offer a Beard & Mustache Sculpting Wax that has a natural resin added to provide that strong hold you may be looking for. We also include lanolin in this formula to give it plenty of moisturizing and protective properties that benefit the skin and the hair. The lanolin also helps to soften the wax once it is applied to the beard/mustache, since using a stronger product like a wax can sometimes cause hair to become stiff and crunchy. The lanolin, along with the cocoa and kokum butters, give this wax the same nourishing qualities as our balms and butters.
In answer to your second question, we are currently in the process of placing our premium beard products on the shelves of many barber shops in the San Antonio and Houston areas. I will be happy to e-mail you a list of these locations, and you can check back next month when we will have a list of these locations added to our website.
I hope that I was able to address all your questions and help point you in the right direction. Please do not hesitate to contact us at info@tubbstarr.com if you have any further questions or if there is something we can help you with.
On behalf of all of us at Tubb Starr, thanks and happy bearding!
