Candle Care, Burning Guide & Safety Tips
Tubb Starr candles will burn bright, smell great and last longest if these SEVEN safety tips are followed:
- The FIRST TIME YOU BURN YOUR CANDLE you should let the wax pool reach the edge of the container. You should burn for NO LESS THAN TWO HOURS with your first burn.
- Before you light your candle each time, the WICK SHOULD BE TRIMMED TO 1/8 INCH (for wood wicks) and 1/4 INCH (for cotton wicks).
- Keep the WAX POOL FREE OF WICK TRIMMINGS, DUST AND DEBRIS.
- SECURE THE AREA from items that may catch fire (and keep hair and clothes out of the flame).
- NEVER LEAVE A CANDLE UNATTENDED. Do not walk away from a lit candle, and keep out of reach of small children and pets.
- AVOID DRAFTS AND VENTS. A draft can be a candle’s worst enemy. It may cause a candle to burn unevenly, drip or soot.
- DO NOT TOUCH OR MOVE A LIT CANDLE.
